Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer / Principal Software Engineer.
Position Description:
Company is looking for full-time senior Java developers for its Chennai, India area. Company is looking for candidates who are interested in working with a mature product development team. Ideal candidates are expected to work in a collaborative, product development environment with a productive team of peers. While Java expertise is important, we value willingness to learn and grow above all else. We take pride in our workmanship and take quality seriously. We are looking for candidates with a passion for principles and practices.
Job Responsibilities:
• At least 5+ years experience in application/product development using a broad range of programming technologies including:
- Java/J2EE
- Struts, JSP, Hibernate, Spring framework
- scripting languages (Perl, Python)
• Strong in Internet technologies (HTML, HTTP, TCP/IP, SOAP, XML, etc)
• 2+ years of development experience in Unix/Linux/Solaris environment
• Experience in C++/ .NET added plus
• Experience using other common open source tools (CVS, SVN, Bugzilla, etc.)
Additional Requirements:
• Should have a Bachelors degree in Engineering or MCA
• Minimum 5+ years of development experience in building enterprise grade applications/product
• Should be a self starter and independent
• Good communication skills including verbal and written skills (specifications, design, etc.)
• Must be able to work independently and in a team setting
• Be able to articulate implementation at all levels
• Must be able to evaluate alternative solutions
• Applicants with wide variety of technical experience are good candidates for this position
Total IT Software experience: 5 – 10 years.
Work location: Chennai.
